Can anyone tell me, please, how to find the camera app files between the system files?
Once detected, could it be possibile to change it (for example, from Cyanogenmod's app to the stock app or viceversa)?

Took me 3 seconds of googling :D http://androidforums.com/android-applications/209098-where-application-files-located.html

And here's a really cool tutorial which I found long time ago:

You may need it too. I tried modifying aurora borealis ROM by replacing APEX launcher with Trebuchet .. without success (I could not find the correct version of Trebuchet). I stopped fiddling around with Android because it's the worst OS (not only performance-wise) I've ever had to deal with.

Thank you Plantroon, they talk about system/app and in fact I see many phone apps like the calendar, messages, the gallery too but not the camera.

Hmm .. I'm not sure but isn't camera a part of Gallery app ? I noticed that there is a smooth transition when going from gallery to camera ... like if it was the same app. It's just my guess so sorry if I'm wrong.

EDIT: Yeah I was right. It's the whole gallery app. However, in Aurora Borealis (and stock ROM should be the same) Camera is a separate apk.

OK, thank you!

So do you think it's possible to swap the cameras between Cyanogenmod and stock ROM?

Looks like problems if they are separated in one and not in the other... I thought of swapping them without building a new ROM

np, Idk but you can try it. Just copy the files you need (camera apk + gallery apk from stock/aurora borealis) and remove the ones you don't (gallery apk in CM) and see what happens. It's Android, nobody knows what will happen ... things magically start and stop working ;P

Tried installing the stock camera (also manually copying the apk) into Cyanogenmod 10 but it doesn't work. I assume it's just because CM10 is Jelly Bean while the stock is ICS... I guess the only chance to have the original camera is using the stock ROM or CM9 maybe?
