SVP runnng on windows CE or Pocket PC? wots the difference?

I always thought a pocket PC meant a PDA or similar device which ran on windows ce or other platforms of o/s

after checking out this site http://www.handango.com/ Ive realised that pocket PC and windows ce are 2 separate things??

can anyone explain?

Pocket PC was the name given to windows CE version 3.0 - Windows CE generally refers to older devices running windows ce 2.0 2.1 and 2.2 (i think). Although similar in design the software is not the same - you can usually tell the difference by the location of the windows start button. On and old Win CE device it is in the bottom left hand corner, on a pocket pc it is in the top left hand corner.
