Guest Dssj Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Hi, I`ve got a bricked Ascend G300. When I turn it on, it shows Huawei logo for 10 seconds and then turns off. Same with entering recovery. The only working modes are fastboot and the pink update mode. But the bootloader seems ro be locked: C:\Users\Honza\Android>fastboot oem get-bootinfo ... INFO ******************************************* INFO Bootloader Lock State: LOCKED INFO System State: OK INFO Bootloader Version: 001.001.000 INFO ******************************************* OKAY [ 0.006s] finished. total time: 0.006s But it could not be unlocked: C:\Users\Honza\Android>fastboot oem unlock ##################### ... FAILED (remote: Unlock failed) finished. total time: 87.389s The pink update mode doesn`t work too. I tried cca 10 ICS firmwares and everything fails after decompressing (in step2/2) How can I unlock the bootloader? Or how to erase IMEI to update via pink mode? Or is here any other method to unbrick? I read somewhere that when my PC recognizes the phone (by typing fastboot devices) it can be unbricked. Is it true? Thanks
Guest george109 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 You could try downloading a ROM zip file (Any ROM) and then typing fastboot update rom.zip where rom.zip is the Zip File with the ROM in it, which is in the same directory as the fastboot directory
Guest Dssj Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 I tried it, but it says something like that some files (i don't rememner the name, but in .txt) are missing
Guest bidzapfc Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Try b926. It is known to bring phones back from dead
Guest dalyer Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I tried it, but it says something like that some files (i don't rememner the name, but in .txt) are missingDoesn`t help :(Once again (http://www.modaco.com/topic/366089-help-i-have-no-launcher-installed/#entry2168687) if you don't post something useful that describes what happens and what problem you have then nobody can really help you...

C:\Users\Honza\Android>fastboot update archive does not contain 'android-info.txt' archive does not contain 'android-product.txt' error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt The pink update error is always the same. Failed at the beggining of step 2 By the way, is there any other command than "fastboot oem get-bootinfo" which tells me something about the phone? I searched for them, tried many commands like fastboot oem list_partition_emmc fastboot oem check_emmc fastboot oem check_emmc_mid but nothing works on g300 Edited October 27, 2013 by Dssj

Remember that G300_ROM.zip has to be in the same folder as fastboot.exe for my commands to work... Edited November 1, 2013 by george109
Guest Dssj Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 Yes, that i tried too with the same error. "fastboot update" flashes automaticaly an update.zip in the folder with fastboot
Guest penthaler Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 DSSJ - take it to warranty, there is no way to unlock some kinds of G300 without starting it. Yeah, tested middle package, tested "pink mode" to update via update.app (B952), older GB one, but again without zeroing cant do any of FORCED UPDATE. The thing with fastboot and ANY ROM is stupidity. When you have locked BL, you cannot run custom ROMs even repack of stock ROM. I got my G300 bricked due the locked BL and installed repack. (repack installed on unlocked BL, but restored 5irom bck of IMEI - the first Ive made - after boot brick) In service they cant fix it with software but with changing HW part (some module or so)... No one understand because they have different brand of G300. I understand cause with DSSJ have the same one... (no forced update)
Guest Dssj Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) Mhmm, I left the phone a couple of days in the desk (without battery, because it's broken and the health one I have in the second phone) and now it seems to be completly dead. Doesn't respond to anything. When i left it with battery pulled in overnight, it just discharged it. So i thing it's broken motherboard. Thanks for help... Edited November 19, 2013 by Dssj
Guest Dssj Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Don't know. When i got it, it was already bricked. Edited November 22, 2013 by Dssj
