I'm using cm 10.2 21/10/13 with 3.4 kernel but its very risky. Start by testing a stock based ROM like tesla or stock+. If you want more options try cm9

A few people have reported dates c. 199x for their flash! It is odd...

So, so, so....which is actually the best ROM?   :P

People keep asking this question but there is no easy answer.

It depends on your needs/preferences.

If you have the time then you should try a few of them to see which is best for YOUR needs/preferences.

Personally I think that GB based ROMs run best on this device.

I'm using stock B895 based superslim at the moment but CyanogenMod 7 looks tempting...

I'd definitely recommend giving CM7 a go, it has a lot going for it in comparison to stock GB.

B960?Is it the newest offical rom for G300?

I think so - certainly there are a number of stock B960 based custom ROMs on the forum.

I don't know if/where the stock B960 update.app can be found though.

is there a download page or forum where I can fid all the rom?

There are individual threads for individual ROMs in the development forum:

http://www.modaco.com/forum/737-huawei-ascend-g300-development/

If all this stuff is totally new to you then you should spend some time reading up on how to root, unlock bootloader, install custom recovery, backup, install ROMs etc. It is all well documented but you need to know what you're doing as if you don't you could brick your device. And even if you know what you're doing there are risks but you can minimise them by reading up and understanding what's going on first.

couse, from what I was reading around: I was understanding that no ROM

would e able to fix the volume problem in the telephone call :( :(

By the way, if it can be usefull, and someone would explain a little how to do (if is possible)

I can try to make an hard backup (I don't know how to say) of the ROM B960 presents on my mobile....

I run stock GB B895 based superslim and have no problems with in-call or ringer volumes. I'm sure that there are other ROMs that don't have such problems either.

If you want to do a full backup then you need to root, unlock the bootloader, install CWM or TWRP and then do a "Nandroid" backup in the custom recovery.

All of this is already covered in detail in various threads in the development forum.
