Guest marko_serb Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Is there an app that could mute sounds when the device is in use?We usually have several communication apps and they all make sounds if they're running in background. That gets really annoying when you're using the device :-( I don't need sounds at full volume when I'm looking at the screen. The best way to solve this would be muting (or lowering the volume) the sounds when the screen is on and unmuting when off. This would be a simple and not resource-hungry solution, but does it exist?
Guest maniac_mouse Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Tasker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm or automateit https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=AutomateIt.mainPackage from the play store let you define rules that do what you want. Automateit is free but limited to single triggers per rule, which shouldnt matter in your case and tasker is £2.99 and has a lot more functionality. Both can use screen on/off as a trigger and volume level/mute as an action. Hope this helps.
Guest marko_serb Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I've tried Tasker and it works! I'll try the other one later. Thank you good maniac! :-D
Guest maniac_mouse Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 my pleasure :-) I forgot to mention that automateit also has a pro version that has multiple triggers. Tasker seems to be a bit lighter on resources though.
