Just how similar is the Hudl to the Nexus

I've heard it said that the Hudl is quite similar (from a component pov) to the Nexus 7 (even down to the screen problems!). Is it conceivable that there could be some bleed over from a ROM dev perspective?

 

I know I'm probably being a wonk but I just wondered whether some of the work done on improving the Nexus 7's screen would work for the Hudl.

What kind of screen problems, backlight bleed or something I haven't heard about before? 

 

EDIT: Im now assuming your talking about touch response issues, I don't think any real efforts can be made in that respect, as its hardware specific (touchscreen controller, most likely) issue. From a similarity point of view, I wouldn't consider the hudl to be similar to Nexus 7 (2012 or 2013). Different hardware entirely (RK3188 rather than Tegra 3/S4 Pro)
