Please help :( Why notepad?

Hi guys, i'm close to banging my head on the wall. my 'friend' has asked me to put the stock rom? on to the vega, I've downloaded everything from advent site and I've now even managed to get the vega into the correct boot mode, however, when I click on softwareImage_v1.10_Vega_Final.exe the file just opens in notepad!!! AAAAaaaArRRRggGhhhHh!!!! tried lots of stuff (about 6 hours spent on this thing now) im running windows 7 64 bit if that helps anyone? please please please someone help me :(

has this problem been brought up before? I've looked but can't see anything ? thanks.
