Guest Balerion
I hope everything goes smoothly enough and maybe we'll get the sweet taste of Lollipop on our G300 too. A man can wish ;) Thanks for keeping us up to date rhen! Edited November 25, 2014 by Balerion
Guest rhen
amazing :) for you how much ram is reserved to system android? 512 ram is sufficient? I'm not the developer, just follow the news on IRC and on the Y300/G510 part of the forum. Dazzozo and chil360 are the most active in Lollipop now. So about the RAM usage I can only tell what I've written previously.

Guest rhen
Link to the IRC please? :) #huawei-g300 But don't bother the devs much with the questions like "When will CM12 be available", "Any news about CM12" etc. :P Once a in every 3-4 days is fine for the how is it going I think. There was a time when this channel was logged at http://g300.valicek.name/ . It would be nice if someone was able to save the logs again.

Guest rhen
sorry rhen. i have a question? on your g300 you have cm11? how much ram is free? I have about 90 MB free. Running: Settings, Poweramp, Greenify, Messenger, MMS, TouchPal, Themes, Google Play Services Thanks, I won't, I'm not that type of person. I just like to observe :) I mostly do the same too. That's why a log would be good. It can be a news source. Just open the log, search on page for lollipop or 5.0 and you can quickly check the process. Don't have to be allways on the channel. (I may do the log later. I have a Cubieboard2 as a small home server, I just have to find a good logger program.) Guest rhen
I asked Peter, who own and maintain irclog.whitequark.org to log the #huawei-g300 channel. He says yes, so the channel is beeing logged again. Log and live log available on Peter's site: http://irclog.whitequark.org/huawei-g300 So now you can follow the development without being on IRC (all the time) :) Just as a reminder, if you haven't read yet. It is worth a click and check out today's morning. :)

Looks like the g300 is having a hard time booting lollipop, I hope the devs will be able to fix that. :) Edited November 28, 2014 by Balerion

Looks like the g300 is having a hard time booting lollipop, I hope the devs will be able to fix that. :) Thank Peter, not me. :) Anyway I don't see big problem with the ROM. The "optimizing apps" after first boot takes some time (1h 20m) but tha biggest drawback of this is that maybe you don't want to update your ROM daily. :)

Guest Balerion
What memory problem? The G300 not having enough internal memory to run ART and having to switch partitions.
Guest rhen
The G300 not having enough internal memory to run ART and having to switch partitions. Without Gapps and any third party apps, the current partition layout can be enough. That is another question that in real world usage this is not enough. But for development it is OK

Guest soapsandman
some more video and photo quality can not be improved in this ROM?
Guest rhen
some more video and photo quality can not be improved in this ROM? I don't think the ROM is the limiting factor here. This is what G300's hardware can produce.

Guest rhen
Ok, and i have one more question. Will be lollipop more slowly than kitkat or same?Currently it looks like the performance should be the same. Maybe you gain some from ART runtime but since we don't have a fully working ROM, we only guessing based on the information from de developers. Guest Balerion
Wanted to update my ROM, I'm on a rather old CM11 build, but I can't seem to be able to download the latest nightly. Can someone confirm the link is broken?
