GEM7020 Battery Life

Hello everyone , first post and couldn't find introduction section so hope i am not being rude.

 

I have just purchased a GEM7020 for a relative.Checking the tablet out i have noticed that battery life is not too good.Looking at battery status it seems the tablet has mobile standby active which is draining the battery.The tablet is wifi and doesnt need the telephony apps.

Does anyone know how to remove these ,tried using file manager but the file does not have access to root.
