Guest tcpaulh Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14 I've succesfully flashed Blur_Version.14.14.16.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US over a UK Tesco moto g so it should stand a chance of getting KitKat sooner.
Guest TescoHudl Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks for posting the link to that repository, it might come in handy at some point. Is the ROM you've just flashed the American one? I've also got the Tesco model, but mine is on the stock ROM which Paul posted. I'm a bit worried that flashing the US ROM is gonna wipe out my Tesco Mobile network connection or something, because i read a warning on XDA advising against it, saying that the American ROM's sometimes don't work with UK networks?! Also, do you know if your data (Apps, photos and videos) was wiped when flashing the new ROM? Cheers :)
Guest jlost1 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I assume there are no issues sending and receiving calls?

That ROM is for the Global GSM model that was released in America - US_retail_XT1032_14.10.0Q3.X-84-16_CFC.xml.zip. Same model number as UK/EU. Identical hardware? Seems likely. Two versions have been released in the US so far, with a CDMA version in January 2014. XT1032: EU/Global GSM - 8GB/16GB. XT1034: US GSM - 8GB/16GB. Edited December 20, 2013 by jlost1
Guest tcpaulh Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I had to use mfastboot rather than fastboot and it gave a couple of warnings/errors when flashing sparse chunks but it seems absolutely fine. No probnlem with phone calls. Didn't have to set up an APN.
Guest drfr Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I tried it too earlier today - flashed Global GSM US retail over my German retail. No problems since, calls and data work OK. No OTA, though.
Guest Simon O Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 is en-GB available in the US ROM?
Guest drfr Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 is en-GB available in the US ROM? No, these are the only options: (Developer) Accented English English Espanol Francais Portugues
