Guest Dave Abrey Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Does anyone have a copy of the image used in the default theme that you see when you start the Microsoft Theme Generator program (shown below)? For some reason, the program saves the background image as a .gif file. The result is that there are quite obvious compression artifacts visible, particularly around the Windows logo ;). If someone has this as a high quality 'jpg they could let me have, I'd be really grateful :). Thanks! Dave.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Isn't it the 'Luna' background included with the SPV as standard? P
Guest Carnivor Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 its not luna cos thats a colour scheme, but it is the "default" background, so you must be able to find it in the windows folder.
Guest Lojt Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 The Lunar color scheme also includes the background image... You can probably find it in Windows.
Guest Kallisti Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Umm, gif isn't a lossy compression format (unless the picture uses more than 256 colours, in which case it looses/dithers any extras). jpg IS a lossy format. I recommend png or tiff :)
Guest Firaas Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Here's the one the phone uses.luna.gif
Guest Dave Abrey Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Thanks for the replies guys :). I found out what I was doing wrong... I had a different background image selected when I selected the 'luna' colour scheme, rather than 'default' - doh!!! Anyway, all sorted now, thanks ;).
