Guest HitNrun_ Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 I got my new vowney v5 from aliexpress from the top seller for this devise, but i realized that in the package where no earphones included. I tryed to use my old earphones but they didnt connect, there was no headset icon on the application bar at the top. I asked the seller and he told me to go to a phone store at my country to check it but even this guy couldnt tell me what was wrong. I dont know if the earphone jack has a problem or if it needs his original earphones (as i read in some threads in forums). The original eaphones cost about 13 euros from aliexrpress and im not willing to pay for something that im not sure if it works. Someone know what i should do or did someone face the same problem as i?
Guest relapso Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 It seems to work with a particular jack, I can only say that I have tried with headphones Samsung S3 mini and worked perfectly. If you have chance test S3 mini headphones (I guess compatible with all samsung).

Guest HitNrun_ Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 i have ordered a trrs but i am conserned because on the thread you linked me everyone say the earphones have a bad a bad acoustic but for me its diferent, i play a song with the earphones plugged in and the it playes the music from the phones microphone, meaning the earphones doesnt even connect, i dont know if the phone doesnt recognize them or the jack is brocken
Guest Rico_89 Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 Try another set of headphones .. any will do and see if an icon shows up. The trrs cable is only for headphone sets with a mic. If you get no icon then it could be a hardware problem or an issue with the rom you’re using. If it is hard ware then you could try a wireless Bluetooth headset and see if that works.
Guest HitNrun_ Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 the rom i use at the moment is the stock rom. i will probably change the rom (i dont really know which one i should use for this phone, which is the best) and if it still doesnt work i will order bluetooth headset
