Guest trueno2k Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) I know someone with an sim unlocked Tesco Moto G that has not been modified in any other way, whom has got their OTA update to KitKat already, to which I also have a sim unlocked Tesco Moto G but have the UK retail firmware flashed on it however, I have not received my update notice and it's still saying I'm still up-to-date when I do a firmware update check!.. This has annoyed me profusely and now have wished I never flashed the firmware in the first place!.. Is anyone else with the OTA update notice missing who also have the Tesco Moto G but with UK retail firmware flashed on it?.. And, is there others with same conditions but do have/had the OTA update and have now updated to KitKat?.. Would like to know what people are experiencing now!?. :'( Edited January 11, 2014 by trueno2k
Guest Simon O Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 If you flashed the UK stock rom to your phone then you'll need to wait for the update to launch for stock phones which should be towards the end of next week.
Guest trueno2k Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) So I gathered from the other posts :angry2: Would it be worth my time and will it be safe to flash the Tesco 4.3 firmware back on my Moto G to see if I have access to the OTA update?.. Edited January 11, 2014 by trueno2k

Guest trueno2k Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) Thats alright mate, I've gone back to Tesco 4.3 firmware but wasn't able to obtain the OTA notice after flashing back to Tesco stock 4.3 firmware, but remembered I could use the stock recovery to flash the 4.4.2 update zip found on XDA and now I have Tesco Android KitKat 4.4.2 firmware in place... :D Was a ball of an ache to sort it, eventually!... :P Edited January 12, 2014 by trueno2k
