Where's my home.xml file gone???

Yesterday, I created a modified home.xml layout, and placed the file in the SPV's 'Windows' folder, and it worked OK. Now I can't find it on my phone :cry:. It doesn't appear in explorer, and I can't see the option in 'settings' either :cry:!!! I've done a couple of power on/off cycles, still no sign of it :). But the odd thing is that the home screen is still as it should be with the new layout!!! What is going on?! The only thing I can think of is that it's somehow related to the fact that I made the new file and installed it using my PC at home, but this morning I installed ActiveSync on a laptop here at work.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Yep, you need to store custom home.xml in IPSMApplication DataHome folder (the windows folder gets defaulted everytime you power cycle, which is why yours got deleted).

B***er!!! That explains where it's gone then :). I was going to do a few mods to the layout anyway, so I'll just do the whole thing again, shouldn't take very long. I wonder why the homepage kept the layout even after the power cycles though...? Wierd :wink:.
