Guest Dave Abrey Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 So what exactly does the 'Home Screen Time Out' setting do? I've tried a couple of different settings, and it doesn't seem to affect anything :). It's currently set to 'never'. Thanks, Dave.
Guest Rob.P Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 There's a tab right at the top of your screen that says "Search" on it, click it and have a play :)
Guest Bazz Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I'm feeling generous. Basically if you do nothing for x minutes then it goes back to the home screen. x is the homescreen timeout. This doesn't work for some things. E.g. after answering a call in the locked state the call information will annoyingly always stay.
Guest Dave Abrey Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Thanks for the replies :). Rob.P, I did a search, but I was still confused after wading though a few posts on the subject - and a few that were unrelated . Shame about not going back to the home page after answering a call whilst locked ;) - that's one of my few complaints about the phone. Dave.
Guest Rob.P Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Dave, my bad, apologies, on reflection there must be quite a few results whatever you search for by now.
Guest the.dude Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 It basically throws you back into the home screen. I mistakenly set it to 10 seconds, and was left wondering why it kept throwing me out of explorer when I was waiting for a page to load. I now have it set to 10 mins and this seems fine.
