Htc one kitkat

Having updated my htc one to kitkat i found it wierd that in the aptoide appstore it shows newer updates to the stock htc apps that came with the kitkat upgrade , is there another kitkat update coming soon ? As it seems strange every app from htc is showing up in updates , including the android system , phone needs to be rooted to upgrade the htc apps , but i have not done that yet , any ideas what these updates are or are they just regional versions of htc apps ? Also there is a htc app update which when opened is blank , what is the use of this stock app, as it waists space.
