Guest jminiman Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 So you can use your Smartphone as a modem for a desktop or laptop, but my question is can you do the same for a Pocket PC and get online on the Pocket PC via IRDA? _________________________________ Jared Miniman, MS-MVP Mobile Devices [email protected] http://www.jaredminiman.org
Guest h00pyfr00d Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 This is a guide that Orange sent to me a little while ago. It works fine on my iPAQ 3970. Guest jminiman Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 What about us T-Mobile users? Our APN won't fit in the space you indicate for orangeinternet. Any ideas?
Guest h00pyfr00d Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Well I suppose you need to speak to T-Mobile and find out what command string you need to use to access their GPRS service. ...either that or just use it as a IR dialup modem and don't use the gprs.
Guest jminiman Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 +CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”internet2.voicestream.com”,””,0,0 ... too long for Connection Manager!! :)
Guest jminiman Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I did that and now when I hit "Connect" nothing happens :)
