SPV replacements - who is reponsible, and where from?

OK, after a number of calls to Orange CS, I'd like to ask if any of you guys know the answer to this.

I've had my SPV since the beginning of January and it's showing a number of problems which I won't go into here. I can't get any sense from Orange as to who is actually reponsible for replacing this phone. The closest I came was when one guy game me a number which turned out to be the repair centre, and all they would offer was a repair if I sent the SPV back via courier at my own expense, with no loan or replacement handset - i.e. me with no phone.

Is Orange reponsible for the warranty on this? I don't have Orange Care at the mo, since I didn't know about it when I got the phone. Am I entitled to a replacement phone, or even a loan model while mine is checked or repaired?

I gather lots of you have had replacements - how easy was it, and who did you get in touch with? I'm pulling what's left of my hair out here :)

ATB, Frank.

Try ringing 154 from your hardset (or if it's THAT broken, from another Orange handset!)

Or 07973 100 154 from a landline :)

You're not entitled to a replacement/loan phone unless you bought your phone from Orange.

If you don't want to pay for the courier, take it back to the retailer who has the legal obligation to ensure the phone is repaired/replaced to your satisfaction and at no cost to you.
