help with bricked phone - screen has gone fuzzy

Hi there

 

I've been looking through forums on bricked G300's but can't find any posts which describe the problem I am having. 

 

I was using my phone the other day when it just froze. I removed the battery and reinserted it. The screen came on when I pressed power on, but rather than the splash screen, just a fuzzy noisy screen appeared. I can connect my phone to my computer and read and write to the sd card. I've tried putting the official ICS firmware on the external sd card and pressing the volume keys and power on button but all I get is this grey noisy screen and nothing else. Is there some way I can flash the device from my computer since the connection is working? Has anyone else had this problem? Is it time to get a new phone?

 

If anyone has any ideas.......please let me know!!
