Sorry you have learnt a harsh lesson, but buying a phone with no visible support is always going to be a gamble.  I always get a case that will fully enclose the phone with a secure clasp.  I am always amazed at the number of 'naked', expensive phones that I see.  I previously had an iPhone 4, which is essentially a glass phone.

at least with a "glass" iPhone you can easily get parts and customer service ..can't even get the info off it with a screen....
