Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 The Tesco Hudl is a great tablet at a great price, but some users have been plagued by touch responsiveness issues on part of their screen. It now looks as though Tesco are rolling out a fix.Tagged as version 1.3.1, the update installs with no issues on a rooted device and after install the device remains at Android 4.2.2, albeit with a much newer kernel dated 24th April 2014, and OS build JDQ39.20140424.153851.Visible changes are limited, the only obvious change being a 'Reset Touch Screen' option in 'Settings - Display'.MoDaCo member menace9144 who first reported the update in this topic doesn't personally have the non-responsiveness issue, however the touch screen is much more sensitive to the slightest touch post-update.My own Hudl is yet to prompt for the update so it's likely Tesco are doing a staged rollout - let us know if you have the problem and if the OTA fixes the issue! Guest sjg Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I am sure you mean after install the device remains at Android 4.2.2
