BUG: Strange problem: SMS from Vodafone every 10 minutes

Hi there,

I would post this in Bug Reports, but it's closed - thats why I am asking here:

I've done the 2. tweakupdate and realized that I now get SMS from Vodafone (my provider in Germany) every 10 minutes telling me something like "Vodafone - and everything is just fine". Seems like this is a standard welcome message to a new connected phone. I just wonder why it comes in every 10 minutes and it overwrites the one before!

Funny is that I've switched back to tweak one and the problem stays.

Has anyone else had that? I've bought a SPV for a friend from France two weeks ago and did an update to the regular German OS and he has the same problem.

Have you spoken to vodaphone? I've never heard of this problem before.

ps if you ever want to report a possible bug, in the header type BUG then the topic I'll edit the name for you :).

thanks for moving it here. No, I haven't spoken to Vodafone yet. I'll do that today.

SMSing is going on. I saw that every new SMS is replacing the one before.

I'll come back if there is something to report.

I've called Vodafone a minute ago. Useful as calling my mom in this case :-)...

See the screenshot I've made. I'm beginning to believe this is no SMS but a SIM message since it has no number, mail or other sender information on top (e.g. "from Vodafone D2"). I'll try to put the card in another phone to see what happens...

Hehe- ok, here's what I did now:

- plugged the spv on power,

- removed battery,

- removed SIM.

Guess what happend: The message keeps coming in. So I know that this is no SMS, it's a message that the SPV generates. But what can I do now???

...it still goes on - every 10 minutes. i have no idea what to do. i did hardresets, changed the rom from original to tweak 1 & 2 and back, installed the dk update - the messages come every :10, :20, :30, :40, :50, :00. but the counter stays at 1 sms and its always just that one sms in the inbox, it overwrites itself. i've used the ghost sms workaround - nothing. now i am setting on the uk updated but i am very shure it wont solve the problem. has anybody else new ideas?
