Vodafone has added more models to the Smart line up in the shapes of:

Smart 4: http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/vodafone-smart-4-black-payg

Smart 4 turbo: http://www.vodafone.com/content/index/about/what/devices/smart4turbo.html

Smart 4 power: http://www.vodafone.com/content/index/about/what/devices/smart4power.html

All are now in the shops, but Vodafone's woeful website has not been fully updated.

I have the Smart 4 mini, which is fine for my modest needs.  However, as I have two mobile numbers, my ultimate goal is a dual sim model.  It's proving pretty hard to find the correct model.

Oh great. My friend just got himself a Smart 4 fun (VF685). I take it that there isn't a forum for it? Because I can't find the USB drivers anywhere... Could you possibly help me please?

Sorry, but I haven't had reliable internet access for months.  I don't know anything about this model and looking at the specs, I can't imagine that you will be able to do anything ambitious with it.

Hi thanks for your reply. It's simlocked to VodafoneNZ. That doesn't bother me. I was needing the adb drivers for the device. Windows Update managed to get me there eventually. What I was really after was a way to root the phone. Tried all methods I could find. Only one worked: What looks like a Japanese rooting program called iRoot. It's Superuser application is horrendous for an English speaking pleeb like me, never mind my simpleton friend.

Thanks anyway. All sorted now. I'll be damned if I'm going to bother trying a Custom ROM.
