Well, I usually change my device after 7 months but in some special cases I am faster than that so I guess it totally depends over the availability of of new device over the market.

:D It depends. I don't always change my device unless it doesn't work at all!

I'd say most people would keep their phones until they no longer served their purpose. Upgrade? Hand-me-down? Too outdated? Who knows. It's a bit too subjective to consider the life of the device to it's apparent worth or use by the user...
