Guest bxcfilm Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Here’s the problem. I got a new phone to replace my old phone. The new phone is a Moto G with Android 4.4.4, so I used Motorola Migrate to help with the switchover. My old phone is an Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade running Android v2.2 Swedish Spring. The transfer worked except for my contacts. On the old phone I had some contacts on the SIM and some in the phone, a total of 595 contacts. Only 133 of the contacts transferred to the new phone, and going back into Migrate I can see why. It says it only transfers the contacts in the SIM. Before you ask, I am syncing through my Google account, but that only has 133 contacts. The old phone has an SD card, but the Moto G doesn’t, so I can’t move them that way. Also I tried transferring the other contacts from the phone to the SIM, but there’s no room. So the question is – how can I get the other contacts across?
Guest boros2222 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 I think, you should post your problem on XDA. That's more popular for Moto G.
Guest eLJay Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 I use Wondershare MobileGo instead, hasn't failed me yet.
Guest Josh Vasquez Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 You could export to SD of the moto g. Take that file and Bluetooth it to new phone. Click on it on the new phone it'll restore contacts. .vcf file is what it usually stores as.

Guest Josh Vasquez Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 OP states he has a Moto G without SD card... The moto g has an internal SD. There isn't a phone out there that doesn't have an internal storage. I have the moto g that's why I said it. You create back up and Bluetooth the file.
Guest Josh Vasquez Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Says back up contacts. Then shows the name it will be backed up as. Then go to file on SD. Click and send to new phone. Click on it it'll show contacts to be imported.
