Guest Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Well we've had to wait for a while now, with false starts and spec mistery to a certain degree ..... but here it is, finally the launch date for hudl 2 is this Friday 3rd October :D Can Tesco follow through from the success of the initial hudl and do it all over again with hudl 2? It's never been more critical for Tesco to get both the new specs and price to be just right and we'll not even talk about stock availability .......... it's going to be an interesting end to the week. :ninja:
Guest PaulOBrien Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Announced!http://www.modaco.com/page/news/_/android/tesco-announces-the-hudl2-r1414P
Guest comicbookguy Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) looks like a significant upgrade from my 2012 Nexus7. Will be my first non-Nexus device since my HTC Desire tho..... Edited October 3, 2014 by comicbookguy
Guest Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 The finally confirmed specs look good and the price is great - just hope Tesco have the stock levels right :ninja:
Guest Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Online orders accepted on 8th and in-store purchases 9th October. Tesco direct link: http://www.tesco.com/direct/hudl/?sc_cmp=eml_DIR_NWL_HUDL_C_14_32_5_043
Guest comicbookguy Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 shame some of the accessories are much more expensive than last time, and no sign of the keyboard case....
Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 I wonder if Tesco's will provide an update to Android 5.0 (aka, Android L) ?? Considering they let us down with the Hudl v1, not a single Android upgrade in its years release.... Sure, there was that tiny patch that addressed the bug with touchscreen. But we was stuck on Android 4.2 all this time, even though KitKat would of made more sense.... Oh well, time will tell...
Guest glossywhite Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Dave Cryer at Geekanoids has just tonight done a Hudl 2 unboxing & first impressions video for the Hudl 2:
Guest seanspotatobusiness Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 shame some of the accessories are much more expensive than last time, and no sign of the keyboard case.... Indeed they're way more expensive. If you buy on-line there's a voucher code for 33% off the cost of cases (TD-HFTP) but not the other accessories.
Guest Rocket Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Got mine. I find it to be a significant upgrade in most areas. Cases are also a third off if bought in store with the Hudl2.
Guest Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Finally got mine, after discovering 'orange' wasn't an in-store stock option - had to be ordered in-store for next day collection. :ninja:
