Guest Grabbit Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Hi all, I'm trying to run a website that requires flash to view (gibraltar TV). I've tried downloading Dolphin (and jet pack) together with Flash (11.1), Dolphin does not seem to load sites (hanging). I've read that Kitkat does not support flash (hence the route above), but does anyone have a way of getting flash content successfully working on these devices?
Guest Simon O Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I don't believe there is any Adobe Flash apps that support Intel processors.
Guest Grabbit Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Does that mean there is no chance of getting flash onto the Hudl?
Guest aerostar Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 You could try Photon Browser that has a type of flash support. The problem on Dolphin is the Jetpack - switch it off and the browser works OK, but no flash. Shame because it works fine on the original Hudl 1 and flashplayer. I have also had problem with Google Earth in close zooming and screen flashing.
Guest aerostar Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 Since previous post above, I have found a modified flash player for KitKat, I found it here, a german site but link goes to translation. http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.android-hilfe.de/android-kitkat/502244-android-4-4-flash-player-16.html&prev=search Now as you may have seen I have a problem with Dolphin and the Jetpack, BUT, I managed to get it to play a .swf on a website (uses flashplayer) and sound a picture fine. So if you do not have the Dolphin problem it may work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/guide-how-to-play-flash-video-android-4-t2548001/page52&usg=ALkJrhiTkOLyKXYubg5Qd8JK7ZtXuYZX6g post 517 gives this link - this is the one I used Link to Flash http://www.mediafire.com/download/p2tp0h8xy8o7f86/KitKat.Adobe.Flash.Player.11.1.apk DISCLAIMER I had no probs - but you try this at your own risk.
Guest abulkasam Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Any luck? Dolphin browser crashes for me on a flash website. I'm reading it's to do with the fact it's an Intel atom? CPU. Edited November 4, 2014 by abulkasam
Guest abulkasam Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Flash: Can it be made to work via root? Or does anyone know why it does not work?
Guest Ripshod Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Just been watching a flash video online on mine. First time I tried opening it I was told by chrome browser that I needed to install flash, only to be redirected to a page telling me my hudl2 was incompatible. Second time I tried the video it played just fine??? Maybe html5 is enabled? Edited November 18, 2014 by Ripshod
