Firmware install for G300 stops at 1/4 way through?

Hi

 

I tried to root my g300 using the method on modaco but I think I have now bricked the device.

The phone just stays at the Huawei logo on start up.

 

So, I tried to return the phone to stock by installing the official Huawei software and holding the power plus vol up and down buttons

and the software saved to the sd card.

 

When I do this the the install starts but the progress bar stops about a 1/4 way through, see pic.

 

I have tried 5 different versions of Huawei official firmware all with the same problem! Can any help??

Hello I just came here looking for answers to exactly the same problem.

 

Does anyone knows how to flash/install the firmware provided from Huawei using other method than force flash.

 

I´ve downloaded the firmware from Huawei.com g300 support. But cannot find any way to install/flash the file.

If you have downloaded an update.app from Huawei then I don't know of any other way to install it than to copy it to /dload/update.app on your external sdcard and then do a force update.

What software did you download, how did you try to install it and what happened/went wrong?
