Guest wards5150 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I somehow have installed cwm and twrp. I thought 1 should remove the other? Anyway now when try to boot to recovery the phone just stays on the boot logo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guest dalyer Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I don't know how you could have both installed. If you install one then it should overwrite the other. If your ROM is OK but the problem is booting into a custom recovery then you may need to look for info on the forum about flashing a custom recovery via ADB or something like that. Hope this helps.
Guest wards5150 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I don't know how i did it either. Have done the same in past swapping between cwm and twrp but this time when i tried to go back into recovery it was stuck on huawei logo. The phone boots to a gb rom i was trying so i can use it but would like to be able to get to recovery. I installed rom manager and it clearly shows both installed. I have tried to flash both recovery img through terminal emulator and other methods , it says flashed succesfully but i still cant boot to recovery.
Guest dalyer Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) Sorry - I can't really help. Maybe somebody else can...? The only think I can think of is flashing a stock ROM (e.g. ICS B952 from the bootloader unlock tutorial) and start from scratch. But then you lose your current ROM unless you already have a backup. Guest wards5150 Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 Bricked my device trying to flash recovery again. forced update to fix. I'm back on stock ics. It actually looks better than I remember it.
Guest dalyer Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 GB ROMs are best on this phone in my experience. My preference was for GBXTREME.
Guest laurisss Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 How the hell do you know that you installed both cwm and twrp if it just stays on the boot logo? Logic..
Guest dalyer Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 He said that ROM Manager was reporting both as installed but I suspect that this was just a mistake on the app's part. Anyway he has a different ROM installed now so I guess that the issue is no longer relevant?
