Guest vichy Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 Is there any radio app for custom ROMs? I know about Spirit FM, tried Spirit 2 Free and it doesn't work. It says "Unknow device error". (I'm on SlimROM 4.2.2)
Guest rhen Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 (edited) Is there any radio app for custom ROMs? I know about Spirit FM, tried Spirit 2 Free and it doesn't work. It says "Unknow device error". (I'm on SlimROM 4.2.2) Spirit 2 doesn't support G300. Spirit 1 works, but I can only able to get it work the paid version. Free version is too old. It doesn't include the drivers for the G300's radio. Anyway, this thread shouldn't be in the development section. Edit: See my next post. Edited December 12, 2014 by rhen

Guest rhen Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 It's working. Thanks. Shame that ROMs doesn't bother to include radio app. Spirit1 Light can be included in any ROM if I understand well this sentence: "It is free as in "free beer" and can be incorporated into ROMs with no mods and with attribution required." So basically the inclusion of this app is only depend on the ROM developer.
Guest mack123 Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Settings -> Band -> World 100 KHz Also recommend to turn stereo and automatic seek. Guest rhen Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks, but i have tried that and still don't work. Set it to a frequency that is know working in the place you are. What is the reception strength? (number in the up-left corner)
Guest mack123 Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I have done it -8, is it normal?
Guest rhen Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I have done it -8, is it normal? No, it isn't. It should be a number between 0 and 50. Do you have any other version of SpiritFM installed? Have you changed any other settings? Have you enabled root access to the app? It needs root. Maybe try delete the program data and change only the band first.
Guest mack123 Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks again. No, its's my first SpiritFM instaled, and i just changed the configurations you told me to. I have gave it root acess. I will reinstall it again.
Guest dalyer Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Do you definitely have headphones plugged in? Radio apps usually use these as the antenna.
Guest mack123 Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I Have reinstaled it and it work perfectly fine. Thanks to all.
