Guest TinaEire Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Hi, I just got a Y550-L01. I has nearly the same specs than the G620s except for the screen and ROM size. If someone could open a combined Y550/G620s thread I can put in the translation for topics on how to root, how to install CWM and how to request to unlock the bootloader. If someone wants to start working on a CM rom for that, I would like to help. I work with Linux since 1998 but so far I just used the android work of others ;)

C8817DV100R001CHN29B246 Android 4.4.4 It is a firmware for dual SIM for Honor 4 play, but it is working just fine with my G620s and it is more stable, before I had a lot of random restarting, and now using it about 2-3 days I got just one random restart at the beginning... it comes already rooted and integrated more apps, Chinese apps can be easily removed using integrated app Kinguser which has Uninstall Tool, also it has permissions for root, selecting apps for Auto-start, and Apps Backup

Carphone Warehouse are selling SIM-free for £119.99 although store stock seems to be limited so I'm gonna have to order online: http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/phones/huawei-ascend-g620s/handset?colourCode=BLACK Fiddling with the demo model it felt very responsive but I sorely missed CyanogenMod 11 features and the app draw. I expect there to be high demand for Alt Roms as a way of removing the Emotion UI. A G620s forum would be apreciated Modaco peeps! :D
