How to watch DVDs on my Hudl2

Hi this is my first posting and my first time using the hudl2 I had for Christmas.

 

What I would like to be able to do is to watch DVDs that I have recorded myself on my Hudle2.

 

I presume that I would first have to convert the dvd to a format the hudl would accept ( maybe this is MP4 but I don't know) by using my laptop and after converting the dvd , I would then need to maybe "Copy and Paste" it into the hudl in some way.

 

So does anyone know how I can firstly, convert the DVD and then secondly, how to copy the file to my hudle.
