Guest Rainstorm123 Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 Hello, This is my first ever post here. I stumbled across this website when looking for a solution to the Kitkat 4.4 SD card issue, and it seems like the best place for advice on Hudl2 issues. I got my Hudl2 for christmas, It had 9GB internal storage, but with a few apps on it that went to 8GB free space. I have found that watching Programs on 4OD app, streaming them NOT downloading them is taking up space on my internal storage and my Hudl quickly started saying the internal storage was low. Looking on the Setting-> Storage it showed a total of 1GB of apps installed, but ONLY 500kb free space and doesn't display any large files that could be the cause. Anyone having similar issues, and know how to fix this problem? - the only fix i have found is a factory reset to free up the space until its full again. Many thanks, and once again HELLO ALL
Guest Ouzy Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 If you haven't downloaded any content, what happens if u go to settings/apps/4od and choose clear cache. Obviously not worth doing if you have downloaded anything to watch later.
Guest jimsie Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 Give this app a try, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage will show you what is taking up storage on your device :)
Guest Rainstorm123 Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 This is what i found..... any suggestions?
Guest arnookie Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 Download clean master and run it to get your space back. :0)
Guest JamieH02 Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 Download clean master and run it to get your space back. :0) I'd use SD Maid Personally, Clean Master is bloat and has unneeded Antivirus.
Guest Rainstorm123 Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 Download clean master and run it to get your space back. :0) Already tried this, it doesnt identify anything out of the ordinary and the problem still persists. Going to try sd maid now

Guest cosmo.dibbs Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Hi all, I just joined because I was experiencing a similar thing on my Hudl2 and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced it. My problem also seems to stem from the 4od app - but I don't stream. I download the content and then watch it offline later. I'm not sure if this is some quirk with the Hudl2 or if it is a bug within 4od, but it does seem as if the 4od app isn't cleaning up after itself in some way. After watching about 4-5 programs - most of which ranged from 340MB - 540MB - I had the "Storage running low" warning. Even after clearing the cache and deleting the 4od app, I couldn't get the space back. Eventually I had to do a factory reset. It wasn't a big deal, as I don't really store anything useful on my Hudl2, however obviously it is an annoyance. I have reloaded the 4od app and I'm going to watch closely to see what it does. I have a stock Hudl2 by the way - not rooted.
Guest pudpoh Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Maybe download es file explorer and have poke around and see if you can delete what it is downloading that way by hand rather then have to factory reset. To me this sounds more like a bug with the 4od app than the hudl.
