Guest GOMDroid Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) Hi folks, I have searched this forum for these terms and got no results, hence I must ask a question: I gather there is linux under all the java which is Android. I have used Raspberry PI or two for about 12 months and I can happily use SFTP to gain access to the linux side of things. I use my PI's login name and password associated with it. How do I establish those for the linux under the Hudl2? I'd would very much like to use the convenience this would bring. Any ideas? EDIT: Oh, I forgot, SSH and how to enable it would be of interest too. EDIT ENDS Edited January 29, 2015 by GOMDroid

Guest nybor Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) Hi go to play store and search "terminal emulator for android" I use jack palvech most Linux commands work in android The question asked was NOT 'Where do I find a terminal emulator?' - it is obvious from what he wrote that he already has one and knows how to use it. The questions were what login name and password to use for sftp to the Hudl and whether it's possible to enable ssh. I find that FTP Server from The Olive Tree, available on the Play Store, works fine on the Hudl2. It has its defaults for username and password and you can set your own.
