Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Anybody can do the android 5 ROM? You want it that badly? Either build it yourself, or better yet - get a better phone.

That charming MJonModaco, always so cynical and helpfull, just like we know him. Very encouraging for noobs to ask questions around here. ..... Just saying
Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) tosser You turned up here just to say that? You clearly have no idea how old a Blade III is... Or how hacked it is just to get Kit-Kat on to it! Yet this is the 3rd time he has asked the question, and yet he doesn't seem to understand, that the developer who made Jelly Bean and KitKat available for us no longer has the device, and nobody with this phone (me included) is willing to hack even more just to try and get it working. So here's a clue... Take a hike... Edited February 6, 2015 by MJonMoDaCo

Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 but i know a tosser when i read one Sure you do, Troll. You don't even have this device, let alone anything constructive to say. Thanks for being a waste of the internet.
Guest mrrog Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 glad you agree i know a tosser when i read one, i don't have this device but my young son does clever dickhead, and putting twats in their place is never wasted on the internet

No more than you agreeing to being a troll (I know you won't) even though you fit the definition perfectly! A quick Google search would prove that. Then see what you've said is quite ridiculous, which must be how you live your life. Your son doesn't have much to look up to if that's the case. Speaking of, if your son has this device, then why not go build it for him, and therefore the original poster, and see where that gets you... You'll be bitching about it all before long. You're comments here are wasted space if all you have left is ad hominem attacks, now aren't they?
Guest mrrog Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Blah, blah ,blah, pretentious tosser
Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Blah, blah ,blah, pretentious tosser Ooh look... A whinging Pom trolling forums on the internet... How quaint /sarcasm For those that aren't so brainless, morally and orally... Here's an idea. Thanks Ramo Okic.
Guest mrrog Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Now your being helpful, could of tried that on your first post, and if not, just don't post anything.
Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Now your being helpful, could of tried that on your first post, and if not, just don't post anything. ^^ LMAO. tosser Take your own advice, hypocrite. As for the OP (and YOU!) First (and only) rule of CyanogenMod - never ask for an ETA! Just like it says on CyanogenMod's own Wiki page. But of course you didn't know that, because we can guess what you'd really rather use the internet for...
Guest The_Real_Crash0verride Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 ..... porn? where else is the internet for .... i dont think a Blade3 can handle Android5, on the other hand i heard Lollypop was stripped so it wouldnt take much resources then JB & KK.
Guest MJonMoDaCo Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 ..... porn? where else is the internet for .... ^^ Gosh, I was thinking of trolling. But if that's what you're thinking, you'd just have to ask him, although who really cares to engage with him here? Best we keep the troll away. i dont think a Blade3 can handle Android5, on the other hand i heard Lollypop was stripped so it wouldnt take much resources then JB & KK. Not entirely convinced yet, but the Blade 3 didn't recieve a JB or KK kernel, and had to be cooked up. The same would be of the Lollipop one, I'm sure. One thing I am sure of though, is that without it being 'stripped', as you put it, it'll run quite slowly, after a very short while, and we'd probably have to take a look at a few bugs that'd pop their heads up again. In the end, it really is worth the hassle to get a phone that supports it already, and it'd be worth the while. Considering Konsta's abilities, getting a MotoG would be worth the while, but I'd be the type to splash out on a new phone instead, even if only crap end for the time. if we're giving ZTE another chance (and tbh they barely deserve it) then that Blade S6 is looking pretty decent.
Guest Le Cosaque Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Hey, sorry for posting here but I thought that a new thread would be a waste of space. So I am trying to compile CM12, based on Konstat's instructions and work on cm11. So far so good... but I hit an error that I have no idea how to deal with (being a noob at porting and stuff :D ). It came out after initializing the build "art/build/Android.common_build.mk:209: *** LIBART_IMG_HOST_BASE_ADDRESS unset. Stop." and it really stopped after it. So if anyone has any advice on how to move forward and deal with it I would be very grateful. You see, the thing is - I really don't care about the new options that come with cm 12 and android 5, I just love the material design and with every cm that I've used until now I've tried getting basically that look. So I just want the new theme engine, systemUI.apk, launcher.apk, system.apk, dailer.apk and such. but cince I have no idea how to port them to cm11 I just decided to try and build cm12 with some online guides (seemed easy - + it would give me a good starting point in learning how to port and fix bugs and stuff).

Hi. good on you for having a try. It looks as if you're having troubles with the make files. Can't figure it out myself as I don't have a Linux partition again yet. (I'm going to have to try now!!) Try adding the following to your boardconfig.mk: ANDROID_COMMON_BUILD_MK = true Although I'm certain that won't be where the problems end  By the way... You should probably make a new thread for this, as you're actually attempting to get somewhere with it. It's not 'porting' per se (that just requires a ROM from a compatible device, plus a zip program and notepad). It's building from source. I think the sources may have sorted themselves out enough for us to have a go at it. Good luck.

Thanks :) I was actually hoping that you will respond to my post :D And I am planing to make a new thread but after I'm able to get to an initial build :) + in several posts so far I've seen people saying that in order to flash it we would need cwm. 6.0.5 and I have no idea how to do so. In any case, I might start a thread for people who would actually be willing to work together in order to get the job done and bring cm12 to our device. And I do realize that building a rom for an old phone like ours is a pain (to really build it one must build kernel, cwm and the rom itself) but trying to build it based on Konstat's work is a start I think. :)
