Making the Hudl 2 easier for toddler to use

HI there. There may already be posts about this somewhere so even if anyone can point me in the right direction I will be very appreciative.

I bought a Hudl 2 for my 10 month old, you may think she's a bit young for one but she was showing lots of interest in my iPad and i want her to have her own little tablet to play with and leave mine alone! There are lots of apps she likes to play but also lots of things she presses accidentally that cause some issues and I am hoping that you will be able to help me make the hudl easier for her to play with without me having to intervene all the time.

I don't mind having to root it if I really have to although I have no idea how to do it, I see that there is a topic on it so if I have to I will. There may also be ways I can do what I need without having to root it and that would be better but whatever I have to do, I will. I just really need advice please.

My main gripe is the bottom bar. She just always presses it accidentally and either finds herself back at the home screen or the in recent apps - how can I remove it please?

Another thing is moving icons around on the home screen - is there any way to lock them?

Are there any other things that other people have done to their hudls to make them more friendly for their kids that they could pass on?

Thank you so much for your time, I am grateful for any advice.

To lock icons down on the screen, I'd suggest looking into a replacement launcher. Nova has the option to lock icons (in advanced display options iirc) for example, but other launchers may also do the job.

For hiding the nav bar, if you search the Play store using "full screen" you get several apps that claim to do what you want, but you'll need to test then yourself.
