Prevent OTA update on rooted hudl2 ?

Does anyone know if the method for the hudl in the above link can also be used effectively to prevent any OTA updates on a rooted hudl2 (with Paul's latest image) ?

I can verify that the method for the hudl shown in above link works on the hudl2.
