Guest jamie_w Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I'd say it's a 50/50 split. Alot of Chinese phones have the lower 4g frequency, but you do get to miss out on a lot of good ones tho.

Guest jamie_w Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 What I mean is half of the good phones have lower 4g frequency and half don't have the lower frequency eg 50/50 split
Guest apple2005 Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Hi all, Can anybody point to me a good phone with the following specifications. 1) screen 5.7 to 6 inches 2) Dual sim (must) 3) dedicated sd card slot (must) (no hybrid card slot) 4) at least full hd 5) 4 G capable. I shall be thankful.
Guest apple2005 Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 This thread was once very active but I think everyone has lost interest in this thread and is going to die... Hahahah
Guest cumfun fighter Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 @delayer Is tis tred dead?
Guest dalyer Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 Was thinking of getting a pair of these just for the name... http://www.focalprice.com/MH1362W/Huawei_Enjoy_5_TIT_AL00_5_4G_Smartphone_IPS_Capacitive_1280x720_Android_5.1_64.html?utm_source=Radica&utm_medium=EM&utm_campaign=DM_1607ZT_MH1362W
Guest dalyer Posted September 20, 2016 Report Posted September 20, 2016 (edited) Topic has been dead lately. Just ordered one of these for my 11 year old son (maybe for Xmas): http://www.xiaomitoday.com/uhans-a101-review-can-afford-60/ €50 delivered to Ireland. http://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-uhans-a101 Obviously not the greatest specs in the world but looks interesting... :-) Edited September 20, 2016 by dalyer

What can I say, the thread looked lonely and unwanted.
Guest trishmac Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 I don't know if anyone has seen the Vivo Nex S. Looks really good x
Guest dalyer Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 Xiaomi Pocophone/Poco F1 has similar specs for a lot less money (c. US$300). https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_pocophone_f1-9293.php I'm tempted by it but am still using my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (even with a cracked screen!) happily enough. I had even bought a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 but ended up giving that to my son for his birthday to replace the Uhans A101 that was driving him mad with crap battery life etc.
Guest trishmac Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) Oh a cracked screen would drive me insane kudos for that lol. I'll have a wee look at the pocophone. Been with HTC for ..well.. Forever! Want a change x Edited October 5, 2018 by trishmac Typo
Guest dalyer Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 Comparison here: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9227&idPhone2=9293 And as usual Kimovil is a useful site for checking specs/prices etc. www.kimovil.com The crack is not that noticeable and doesn't affect functionality but it is starting to annoy me and I don't think that I really want to do a teardown and DIY replacement myself. It's years since I did that sort of thing and these days I reckon life is too short (must be getting older... :-D)
Guest trishmac Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) I agree! (Not about you getting old lol) Even a scratch..I just get a new one . I'll have a look at your links (looking at pocophone on YouTube now) I did have the Honor 10 for a week, but Hawai took away the option to set different notification tones for apps(another thing that drives me mad) and funnily enough it's hard to find out basic things like that from reviews x Edited October 5, 2018 by trishmac Typo again lol
Guest dalyer Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 I've enjoyed using Xiaomi phones for the past few years. I was fond of MIUI but then they started putting all sorts of bloat into it that I don't like. So these days I prefer to get LineageOS installed and use that instead. Xiaomi make this a little bit of hassle (e.g. having to unlock the bootloader etc.) but there's plenty of help and guides out there. Still tempted by the Pocophone F1 but I'm resisting for now...
Guest trishmac Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 I don't understand bootloader and stuff. If I can put a launcher on I'm happy . Ps. .go treat yourself x
Guest bobdi Posted November 16, 2018 Report Posted November 16, 2018 oneplus 6t is the best phone for today, with the original android launcher and small price. I can't whaite black friday to bay this phone
