Guest dakok Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I had jiayu f1 and g2f for some time and the build quality is good. If you can wait a little there's another phone to consider. Lenovo Lemon K3 Note was presented few days ago and it could be a good choice
Guest jamie_w Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I won't be getting a new phone for at least a month, so I'll have a look at other phones as well. Thanks.

Guest Maringer Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 The new Huawei P8 looks to be a very well-specified device. The camera in particular sounds interesting and it is pleasing to see that OIS is apparently possible in such a slender device. The phone is a bit flipping expensive, however! http://www.anandtech.com/show/9163/huawei-announces-new-ascend-p8
Guest SlyUK Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Apparently its immediately available in 30 countries according to the launch in London. Not sure from which sites though ?

Guest SlyUK Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Looks like this thread is pretty much dead, but for those of you who may be interested Xiaomi unveiled their budget friendly Mi 4i smartphone with MIUI v6 (Lollipop 5.0): http://www.mi.com/in/mi4i/ http://en.miui.com/thread-106023-1-1.html
Guest SG8 Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 Ordered a TCL M2U from Aliexpress so am waiting on it to be delivered now. http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/8a8d329b
Guest Maringer Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 I've decided the next phone I buy will be one with an excellent camera. Unfortunately, this may mean that I need to stop the Chinaphone purchases and go with a mainstream and therefore more expensive device.I see the Samsung S6 is currently top of the charts for camera quality, but the newly-announced LG G4 looks to be very well specified in that department as well.I can wait another 6 months or so before my next purchase, I think, so I'm hoping that we'll see better cameras coming from the Chinese companies in this time so I can save myself a few quid!I suppose the Lenovo Vibe Shot may be a possibility if the camera is good enough, though I admit I was hoping for a more powerful processor. Rather underwhelmed by the Snapdragon 615 which seems inferior to the cheaper Mediatek alternatives.
Guest dalyer Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Anybody use Mlais M52? Looks like a good spec for around US$150. http://www.gizchina.com/2015/04/10/mlais-m52-review/

THL2015 has Sony IMX135. Have a M2U on the way to me, so hopefully will find out how good the camera is soon.
Guest dakok Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Anybody has the idea how to buy a phone from India - Xiaomi mi4i looks tempting? It has an improved snapdragon 615 inside :)
Guest Maringer Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 I'm waiting for Optical Image Stabilisation to appear on the 'smaller' phones, hence the mention of the Lenovo Vibe Shot.As it stands, all the Chinaphones with OIS appear to be built into phones of 5.5"+ and I've decided these are just too large for me.
Guest SlyUK Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 I'm getting the Xiaomi Mi 4i as my next phone, will have to wait for honorbuy, ibuygou etc however to stock it for shIpping to the UK.
Guest SlyUK Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 For those of you with a CoolPad F2 the following maybe of interest (as they are essentially the same device):

Guest jamie_w Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 Just a warning on updates for Xiaomi phones. I've got the redrice and its a great phone but if your expecting regular official miui updates then font hold your breath. I'm still waiting for miui v6 , it was due February!!
Guest dakok Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 SlyUK I doubt that mi4i will be available outside of India.
Guest dakok Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 I made a review for Lenovo K3 Note, a great phone btw it is in Croatian but you will manage to get the main idea :)
Guest SlyUK Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 SlyUK I doubt that mi4i will be available outside of India. All other Xiaomis are available to purchase from unofficial resellers, so why wouldn't this model ?
Guest SlyUK Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 What do people think of Elephone's forthcoming P7000: http://www.elephone.hk/P7000.html Looks amazing or is it style over substance ?
