Guest dakok Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 $156 here, tax/vat included, DHL brings it in 8-10 days :D
Guest dalyer Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Yes - but still nowhere near the originally quoted $100! :-p
Guest dakok Posted August 8, 2015 Report Posted August 8, 2015 "Nowhere" is a too strong word. :)You can buy it in China for 97 USD (exchange rate from few days back)For us from "overseas" It will be much closer to 100 in a month or two. :)And now for the next China bestsellerXiaomi Redmi Note 2 for 115/130 USDFast 2.0 GHz CPU (probably Helio x10 / mtk6795)2GB RAM16GB ROM
Guest dalyer Posted August 9, 2015 Report Posted August 9, 2015 "Nowhere" is a too strong word. :)I don't think so.Not when it's 30%-50% above the originally claimed/published price...Time will tell if it gets nearer $100 for the likes of us.
Guest dakok Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 You can buy it in China for the claimed price :pWhile we are waiting for Meizu M2 to become cheap there is even better bargain coming up:Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is announced today ($125 - $156): Compare that to Meizu Mx5 now (the same CPU)
Guest SlyUK Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) Hey guys if you had the choice between the Xiaomi Mi 3 & the new Redmi Note 2 (and you didn't mind the screen size difference):Which would you choose & why ? Edited August 13, 2015 by SlyUK
Guest dakok Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) New phone, fast camera, very fast CPU, IR Remote, good screen, SD slot + 2 SIMs -> Redmi Note 2:D Edited August 13, 2015 by dakok
Guest SlyUK Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 @dakok Thanks for your response. I'm guessing because it has a Mediatek processor the only downside maybe lack of 3rd party development in terms of custom roms.
Guest SlyUK Posted August 15, 2015 Report Posted August 15, 2015 How many of you are impressed by the new Redmi Note 2, but are a little weary of MIUI v7. But would definitely buy it if there was the assurance of Vanilla Lollipop 5.1, CM 12.1 etc..... ?

Guest bryfly Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Anyone interested in purchasing the Prime model of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 ? Has anyone tried MIUI v7 yet ?Ordered the standard version, most reviews I have read say the prime is not worth the extra money, running miui 7 on my current redmi note, seems fine, really like miui Rom.
Guest jamie_w Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Ive only just upgraded to Miui v7 on my xiaomi redmi, just remember its still only based on android 4.4 ! Miui seem very slow on bringing new stable updates out. I will not be getting another xiaomi due to this fact.
