Guest Pofadda Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) More than once my Moto G's phone has rung while another app was open and it was impossible to answer it as no phone interface could be reached. I had to let it ring out and attempt to ring back via History. What should I have done? My iPhone-owning wife says I should "get a proper phone". Was she right that an Android is a waste of money? Out was she right that I'm clueless? Edited February 26, 2015 by Pofadda

Guest Pofadda Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Wait for the lollipop release? You never know.So you'resaying that Moto G users all just accept that they will lose calls every so often? Or is it Lollipop users that have this as a common experience? I'm sure such a failing would be all over the mags/blogs if this were so! I don't make heavy use off my phone so it might well just be me. Can anybody offer useful advice about what I might be doing wrong when answering my phone?
Guest eLJay Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 In the mean time switch off the auto updating of all apps. That can get in the way, if that isn't it try switching off the lock screen. Find the cause then try for another solution.
Guest eLJay Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) You might want to try the bit here for the nexus about clearing the entire app cache using Settings>Storage>Cached data to clear that out. Also I had an update preparation task arrive today that seems to have greatly improved performance. Still testing it though. Edited March 8, 2015 by eLJay

Guest eLJay Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Lollipop is good, though it might just be my set-up is good with it. Worth a try.
