Guest Mark_He Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 I'm having an intermittent issue in which the Hudl won't switch on. Each time, it's been powered down with plenty of charge left (over 50% on each occasion). When I press the power button it flashes up it an empty battery symbol and doesn't boot further. If I put it on charge for a few minutes, then hit power, it boots up fine. When booted, the battery reports as being at the original level of over 50%. There's no way it charged from zero to that point in two minutes, so my only conclusion is that the battery charge state monitor was falsely reporting zero battery and therefore wouldn't run, and a few minutes on charge made it believe it had made to 2 or 3% and so could power up. Once it powered up it presumably registered the correct charge. This has only happened a few times so far, but I've only had the failure to charge issue a couple of times as well. I do wonder if there's some link between the two problems - are both caused by some communication problem between the Hudl and the battery?
