Recommended mods/ROMs for Navon Mizu M500 / generic MediaTek MT6589 device?

I recently rooted my Navon Mizu M500, a generic Chinese smartphone based on the MediaTek MT6589 chipset, running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. I now want to find a ROM or mod to update the OS and bring it up at least to KitKat standard. Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

So far the best I can find are implementations of CyanogenMod11 for MediaTek devices in general, and I don't expect to find any specifically for this device. At least CM11 or equivalent would be great - I had good experiences with ParanoidJelly, but would be happy to look at other mods too.
