Netflix and audio+video sync/lag issue (and a potential fix)

Does anyone have the Netflix app on their Hudl 2?

 

It is one of the only apps I bought it for, and it has issues. The video and audio are out of sync, regardless of internet connection or tv show.

 

Even with amazing internet connection. It streams perfect on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. 

 

Something that helped me (short term) was to freeze the Dolby Audio in Titanium Backup (requires root).

But then I installed an app to help battery life by disabling everything when the screen is off, called DS Battery Saver, and it does help battery life when in standby mode, but it made the Netflix lag come back.

 

Does anyone have experience with this?

I watch netflix on my hudl 2 and everything is fine.Everything in synch and lovely pic quality (Hudl is unrooted)
