Guest Unable Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 Hi there,I have a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 and I can't root. I have tried KingRoot 4.5, KingRoot 4.1, WonderShare Mobile Go and every single one of them fails... Any suggestion please? Thanks
Guest RedLee Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 Try to do a complete clean install of the OS and then try again. Download the update.zip from ZTE Web page, put it in your sdcard boot into recovery, update from sdcard e choose the update.zip file.

Guest RedLee Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 That's strange. I've already tried both king root versions with no problems.
Guest Unable Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 Yes, I was also able to root some of my friends devices and I can't root mine :/No idea what do to next...
Guest ohyesman Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) What did u try first? If king root need to be sure that all traces are removed before trying again. It's been ages since I've even bothered rooting but sounds as if that can be a pain to do on this phone due to the exploits used to root.I'll be using the mobilego one straight off the bat if I do root. All I can suggest to try if u haven't already is install stock recovery (u got this already I assume) install stock rom, clear data etc, factory reset a few times and try mobilego again. What happens when it fails? There are a couple of other mobilego type rooting tools u could also try - iroot and root genius - no idea what they are like thoughIf none of that works then hopefully someone with more recent rooting experience will come along and assist. Format Data / Cache2. Install oficial rom from oficial recovery3. Reboot4. Try root I followed these steps with minor changes so I can try to figure out what I've been doing wrong... Still no progress... Im going to quit for now, until theres a new solution. Thanks

Completely stock from box apart from ota update installed via stock recovery.
