I find it OK mostly, but sometimes it doesn't respond, tapping the home button is the best way.

Yeah I tap the home button. Not perfectly reliable but when is this sort of technology. When I had my iPhone 6 I spent more time putting my pin in than using touch ID.

I feel the need for it more with the coltech case, which covers the buttons.

Agree that tapping home is more reliable. But still poor

UPDATE: Don't really use this but someone should test this and confirm if it has improved after an update.
