Guest mindmagic Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I've just started getting messages (ads?) on my Hudl 2 trying to persuade me to "upgrade" to Windows 10. Has anyone else had this?
Guest Jabbitt Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Are you sure you're not seeing ads as part of a browser window. Adverts for windows 10 in general? The Hudl2 is an android device and a change to windows would be a complete change of operating system not an upgrade. Tesco has locked the Hudl2 down and if anyone it would be them who offer the change. Seeing as they are just rolling out Android Lollipop 5.1 for the Hudl2 I highly doubt they would other this. It would completely alternate their customers.Maybe next time you see an additional, click on it and find out the details.
Guest mindmagic Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks. It probably was an ad, but I've seen it at least twice this morning while running different apps. It wasn't a "general" ad, though. Very strange ... It didn't appear as a notification so it certainly wasn't authorised by Tesco.I don't think I'd care to risk clicking on it!
Guest Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 ... or was it a Tesco ad trying to sell their new Windows 10 tablet?
Guest mindmagic Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Panic over. It's come up again and I clicked on it. It's just an MS ad trying to persuade me to upgrade my Windows 7 PC to Windows 10. No chance. Edited September 21, 2015 by mindmagic
