Guest tired999 Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 I updated my Hudl 2 to Lollipop and no can't get the Tesco child safety app to work. When I try to set up the app I can't get past the set pin screen. I've created a restricted user profile so can restrict the apps my child but would like to also use the safe internet app (smiling blue face) and time restrictions that were available with KitKat.I've emailed Tesco who just told me to do a reset but that doesn't fix the problem. Anyone managed a workaround for this?
Guest tired999 Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Tesco has now admitted that there is an issue with using a pin and the child safety app. It works with a pattern.
Guest Nick_Cross Posted November 5, 2017 Report Posted November 5, 2017 I realise this is a very late follow-up .... but in the interests of community information :-) i found that while using a pin doesn't work a password does. So I have just set the screen password to roughly equivalent to my pin code. Hope that helps!
