It can't be stressed enough how much HTC needs a blockbuster hit to turn around its fortunes, so current CEO Cher Wang, who replaced long-standing leader Peter Chou earlier this year, will be hoping that the new phone - the first to be realised under her guidance - is the one to deliver.
