As the title asks, where do I place them so that I can use them for all my apps to find?..

Thanks...

Never mind!.. I can see how this stock ROM implements the tones system... Very unusual I must say!..

From memory I thought that was normal? I've not tried it but if you make (for instance) a 'Notifications' folder on your SD card it'll pick them up too. Just put a .nomedia empty file in there to stop your music player picking them up.

No it's not normal, when selecting a different tone there is an option at the top of the list for more tone options where it shows all of your alarms, notifications, & ringtones on one massive list, which IS not normal to me!..

I've placed each type of tone in their respective folder on the sdcard root and still, no app sees those tones in the initial list pop up wherever I put my tones, which is very odd in deed!..

EDIT: this is what I mean by different from the image below...

Ahh, I thought you were referring to where they were stored.

How do you get to the above image? Mine just takes me to the normal list of installed tones, although I'm using the Turkish rom so includes a link to the Dolby app.

Yeah, I'm on UK 5.1.1, just weird how Vodafone implemented some of the functions, wished they'd just left most of that stuff to the way of stock Android has it like with Motorola has with their Moto line ups, shame really!..

Would be nice to see CM12.1 ( 13 would be even better but just pipe dream these days I guess ) come to this device as it's just the best aftermarket custom Android ROM ( much better than stock IMO ) I've used...

Someone with the UK rom would have to help with the tones then, strange that the Turkish one is stock and the UK is different.

There was info somewhere else that Vodafone/ZTE are working on Marshmallow for the SU6/ZTE equivalent range. Previously I might have scoffed at the idea but since the release of 5.1.1 which was confirmed with the same post I've changed my mind and think we will get it next year. That said, the Turkish version of 5.1.1 is (for me at least) perfect.
